The Cuirass — Antique Torso Armour

A warrior's breastplate stripped of its battlefield context and revealed for what it always was — a remarkable object. Hammered brass follows the contours of the human torso with quiet anatomical confidence, its border punctuated by a continuous line of repoussé studs and twin finial shoulders that lend it an almost ceremonial authority. The silvered patina that has settled across the surface over centuries gives it a cool luminosity, quite different from its framed counterpart — rawer, more sculptural, more confrontational. On its tiered black stand, it needs nothing else.
