The Obelisk Pedestal Table takes its cue from one of the oldest monumental forms in human history — the Egyptian obelisk, a single shaft of stone raised to honour the sun, to mark time, to occupy space with absolute authority. In furniture form, this translates to a piece that needs no embellishment: its power comes entirely from its shape, its material, and the depth of its finish.

Crafted from a single form of kiln-dried hardwood, the Obelisk tapers gently from base to top, its cylinder carved and finished in a deep, near-matte black that gives the surface a subtle texture — as if the grain of the wood has been drawn up through the finish rather than concealed by it. The small flat top offers just enough surface for a drink, a book, or a single object given the prominence it deserves.
